前置き
一日目は、ほとんど移動だけの旅だった。
でも、車の中では
明日のこと、見たい景色のこと、
そして――
まだ食べていないマグロ丼の話で、
自然と会話が弾んでいた。
やさしくて、
「今日は旅の途中の話なんだな」って伝わる。
The first day of the trip was mostly spent traveling.
But inside the car,
we talked about tomorrow,
the places we wanted to see,

the tuna bowl we hadn’t eaten yet.

なんだかママも食べたいって言ってたからね。
明日は、今日疲れた分、

I really wanted to see the thousand torii gates tomorrow.
Me too—but I’m looking forward to taking the ferry to Oma
and seeing that huge monument.

if we get to eat a tuna bowl, that would be perfect♪
Exactly.
That’s one of the goals.
Mom said she wants to eat it too.
Tomorrow, let’s make up for how tired we are today
and enjoy it as much as we can.
